Meet Noonie Fugler

Host of Middays, 11:00am - 4:00pm

Born:
Noonie

February 23, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin (Yep...a Cheesehead!) However, I grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania which is why I cheer for the Pittsburgh Steelers!

Family Statistics:

Married to Jon, daughter Jayna(pink) , and twin sons Travis(far left), married to Jenny(left) and Tommy(far right), married to Olivia(right) and they have baby Aria(in arms)!

Testimony:

On December 12, 1971, I asked Jesus into my heart as a 9th grader. I watched my older sister become a Christian and observed her life change before my eyes. I rejected her invitations to explain the Gospel more clearly to me, but eventually busted into my youth pastor’s office and demanded that he explain it! He graciously led me to Revelation 3:20, and in tears I asked Jesus to come in.

Favorite Bible Verse:

Psalm 115:3 Our God is in the Heavens. He does whatever He pleases.

Favorite Artist:

Phil Keaggy - I’ve been a fan since the What a Day album! He continues to be innovative.

Favorite Book:

Finding Common Ground by Tim Downs

Favorite Food:

Chips and salsa

Hobbies and Interests:

Singing, guitar playing, wheel-thrown pottery, watching baseball, biking, plus one skydiving experience that prepared me to be a mother of 3 teenagers.

Most Embarrassing Radio Experience:

On my 30th birthday I was working at a radio station and had stepped out of the studio momentarily. Jon (my husband), who worked there as well, went in and prompted the listening audience to call in with Happy Birthday greetings. He subsequently left the station while the phones rang off the hook for hours! To say the least, my engineering suffered, I was flustered, and wondered how all these people knew I was turning 30!

Anything else you’d like people to know?

Jon and I met in the college radio station at Indiana University in Bloomington, where we both majored in telecommunications. He had the 8 o’clock sportscast and I had the 9 o’clock news... Jon started to hang around for my newscast... coughed up enough courage to ask me to the student union, and the rest - as they say - is history!
