As a teenager, I was invited to hear a college football coach speak at an evening service. I thought he was going to talk about football - instead he talked about John 3, and how to be born again. I went forward to receive Christ that night.

Most Embarrassing Radio Experiences:

1. In the middle of a newscast years ago, I stumbled over a word, then started chuckling — then laughing — then roaring... all on the air. Never did finish the newscast. I ended up on the floor, laughing so hard I was crying.

2. I mistakenly read an expired news story about a local university president whose health had taken a turn for the worse. He had died a month earlier. Phones rang off the hook, but I was too embarrassed to answer!
