Our midday show Host
Born:

In a galaxy far far away on October 11th.
Family Statistics:
Joanie and I just celebrated 30 years of marriage and we have three grown children. That leaves us 2 horses, one dog, one cat and my mother-in-law in a small apartment on our property. Don't tell my mother-in-law that I listed her last in that list!
Testimony:
Grew up in a Christian home, invited Jesus into my life at 14, and rebelled late in my teenage years. Then through a true act of God I ended up at a Bible college where I came back to His loving embrace.
Favorite Bible Verse:
2 Peter 1:3-4 "His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of him..."I pray that I will someday be able to embody the fullness of what God tells me I already have; "everything for life...everything for godliness." WOW! That is bigger than my head can hold and more than my heart can grasp! But, I want to. So, here's to the joy of now and hope of looking toward that future.
Favorite Artist:
That’s hard to say. Back in the day I loved Kim Hill and that won’t change. Right now, I think Addison Road is one of the best bands out there. The preceding statement is subject to change and I reserve all rights to changing my mind if and when new music hits my ears that would cause me to update that statement.
Favorite Song:
Ah, come on! You know there are too many great songs out there to pick one. However, I can’t get enough ‘rock worship’ so I’m still diggin’ on Mercy Me’s, "He Reigns".
Favorite Books:
Here’s the really short list: The Divine Conspiracy - Dallas Willard, The Great Divorce - C.S. Lewis, Sense and Sensuality - Ravi Zacharias
Favorite Food:
Oh man, this is why I don’t like filling out these kinds of lists - I like a lot of different food. Here’s the rule: The food I eat can’t hurt me! In other words, I like most everything UNLESS it is soo spicy that it hurts me.
Hobbies and Interests:
I am an amateur photographer; started with an SLR film camera years ago. Now with the advent of digital cameras, I've shown little restraint for shooting the great outdoors and family events. My wife and I enjoy working around our home, landscaping, painting and other stuff. We're a great work-team though we're not for hire.
Most Embarrassing Radio Experiences:
While working for a company that had both an AM and FM station, I was ‘live’ on one station and pre-recorded voice tracks on the other. While ‘live’ on one station, my recorded tracks played on the other station at the same time. The FM station played Rock n Roll and my presentation was very upbeat. The AM station was a Country music station and my delivery was to be more laid back.
Once an hour I was to do a ‘live’ weather break on the Country station that played my recorded tracks. One night I was very tired and confused the two stations. So when I turned on the mic to do a weather break on the laid back Country station, in my Rock n Roll presentation, I shouted out the wrong call letters and then tried to cover it up. Here’s how the break would have sounded: (old style DJ yelling) "KB101 Today’s Rock n Roll..."(pause - realizing my error, changing my voice to be softer delivery and then continuing)"...is our sister station but we’re here to play today’s best Country music on 97 Country..."(turned off the mic and hoped my boss wasn’t listening - let’s just say I didn’t get fired).
