Sisters Tricia Baumhardt and Melissa Brock of Superchick share some love with their Compassion International sponsored children in Uganda January 18-29, 2010. The two visited four Compassion Child Development Centers in the southern Kampala area, including Nakulabye, Naguru, Kikonda Village, and Kigungu Fish Landing Site. There they saw and experienced the full range of holistic development taking place with children of all ages from before birth through college graduation. Melissa comments, "Going to Uganda with Compassion really let me see in person how sponsoring a child not only gives them food, water, education and God's love, but it gives hope to the hopeless. It gives them a chance at a future beyond their circumstances. And the people of Uganda showed me what true love for God is in the midst of trials. They were full of joy for their God, and it was evident in their faces. I left with a new joy myself. What a beautiful place, a beautiful people and a beautiful God we have!"

Update from Addison Road
We wanted to give each of you a brief update on our current situation:
Ryan, Anniston, and I are completely taken care of. Moms literally showed up at the shows in Las Vegas and Paso Robles California with their babies own clothes for us to have. Likewise, people have given Ryan and I their brand new jeans, shoes, and other things from around the house and dear friends in Las Vegas brought us shopping to replace everything we needed! Family, friends, and loyal blog readers have stepped in to provide for us financially and we have recovered or have the money to recover every single thing that we lost. So, as for the Simmons family, it feels like Christmas over here! More ...
Because of the amazing Christian radio stations across the country, facebook, and twitter the band has been able to get out our story to thousands and have been blessed with so many donations! This blows our mind. Thank you for trusting us with your money and believing in our ministry.
The story behind BLINK by Australia’s Revive: Teach me to number my days...' (Psalm 39:4 & Psalm 90:12) These are the first lyrics of our new song. We don't want to get too busy living life that we forget what true life is! We've done it and seen it so many times. We put our heads down and work so hard to "do something" with our lives. But we so easily forget important things. First, that this life is temporary and to invest all we have in this life alone is nearsighted and dangerous. And secondly we forget that true, abundant, exciting life is found when we walk hand in hand with our God - daily enjoying and trusting Him. Dave Hanbury, Revive More ...
