MIKESCHAIR has partnered with Food for the Hungry and extended a challenge to its fans to get involved. The call to action came together when bandmates Mike Grayson and Jesse Hale watched people gather at the church across from their apartment each Thursday night. There would be music and ministry, but there was more going on. This weekly gathering was when the church opened the doors of its food pantry to people of the community who needed more then just fellowship.  CCMMagazine.com picks Tenth Avenue North to win Dove Award for New Artist of the Year. "It’s extremely hard to break a new artist at all these days, but Tenth Avenue North has definitely risen above the status quo, entering the scene with tender lyrics that have already touched the hearts of countless listeners," wrote Lindsay Williams on the editorial site. She added, "The band’s songs are what set them apart. And it’s the songs that define an artist’s career. Based on songwriting alone, they should win the award."

Early in March an announcement was made about Newsboys front man Peter Furler bowing out of the band. Furler sent out this message to his friends and fans: "Hello Friends, Sorry for the delay in getting this brief statement out.
